A New York woman who was shocked to see herself naked in photos on the Internet has sued her plastic surgeon, whom she alleged posted the pictures on his website without her consent. Ms Debbie Brown (51), from Chestnut Ridge, New Jersey, filed a civil suit last month charging more than a dozen counts against Dr Sherwood Baxt of Paramus, including invasion of privacy and using her image for commercial gain.

The photos appeared on Dr Baxt's website from July to October and showed Ms Brown naked from chin to waist. Dr Baxt had taken the pictures to compare Ms Brown's breasts before and after liposuction surgery and promised the photos would be kept confidential, the suit alleges. Ms Brown said she never gave Mr Baxt permission to make the pictures public. Her attorney, Ms Cynthia Santomauro, said: "Potentially, tens of thousands of people have seen these on the Internet."
