Volvo results disappointing

Swedish vehicle makers Volvo and Scania unveiled disappointing first quarter results yesterday, both blaming their woes on price pressures and higher costs for new models.

Volvo posted a profit after financial items of 2.27 billion crowns ($296 million) against expectations of 2.71 billion.
