Fifthsense, a Lisburn, Co Antrim-based speciality food company which trades on the Internet, won the Industrial Development Board's e-commerce award at the Northern Ireland Food and Drink Awards 2000.

Set up in March 1998 as a mail order company, FifthSense has sole trading rights in Europe for the US-based food business, Trader Joes. By July 2000, the growth of sales over the Internet led to the establishment of a separate Internet retailing arm. Its address is www.fifthsense.com.
