Useful tax guides

THE tax and management consultants are busy producing their tax guides for the 1996/97 tax year. First off the mark is Craig Gardiner/ Price Waterhouse with The Pocket Tax Book, a handy little booklet which itemises all the major personal and corporation taxation changes (including the PAYE and PRSI changes), any changes to Capital Gains and Capital Acquisition tax, urban renewal tax, VAT, custom and excise changes, etc. The booklet is available from Craig Gardiner Price Waterhouse offices in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.

Readers may also be interested in the excellent tax guide produced by KPMG Stokes Kennedy Crowley which is expected out shortly. This one tends to be a bit more user friendly, and provides good explanatory illustrations of different tax situations.
