A US federal judge has thrown out a petition by Microsoft for the dismissal of a court-appointed expert in the anti-trust case against the software firm. Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson rejected Microsoft's motion to revoke his December 11th appointment of Prof Lawrence Lessig, a Harvard law professor, as an expert to collect information from both parties in the case.
