A US-based company is to establish a new European base in Wexford in a £3.7 million investment which will create 115 jobs. Waters Corporation manufactures performance liquid chromatography analytical instruments. The system is used to detect the concentration and purity of samples and is extensively used by a variety of industries including the food and beverage, health and pharmaceutical sectors. The outgoing Minister for Enterprise and Employment, Mr Bruton, announced the project yesterday.
Mr Bruton also said that negotiations were at an advanced stage for the establishment of a US engineering company in Kilkenny which would lead to the creation of 150 jobs.
