Meat imports from the Republic, as well as those from the United Kingdom, Finland, Ireland and Sweden were cleared of any link to dioxin contamination and can be sold to consumers, the US Agriculture Department said last night. US regulators last month blocked imports of pork, poultry, eggs and milk from EU states after officials discovered some animal feed was contaminated with cancer-causing dioxin.
