One more thing:It's nice to see that the ripples from Tullow Oil's success of recent years have spread far and wide.
The company has 2,500 shareholders in Ireland, many of whom have been investors since the early days of the oil and gas exploration and production company in the mid 1980s.
At the company's "mirror" annual general meeting in Dublin in May (the official event is held in London), a grey-haired old dear tottered up to Tullow boss Aidan Heavey to offer her congratulations and thanks for a job well done.
"She told me that the only share she's ever bought was Tullow," Heavey told The Irish Times this week.
That was in 1988 when she invested about £6,000 in the stock on a the back of a tip from her son-in-law who had a connection with Tullow at the time.
"She watches Aertel every day for the Tullow share price," Heavey added.
Her shares are now estimated to be worth about €1 million and, with the stock now a fully-fledged members of the FTSE 100, there might be more to come. "She told me she was delighted that she had something to pass on to the children and grandchildren," Heavey said.
