The Irish Times was a bit embarrassed last year when in a story about companies listed for strike off for failing to file returns, it described Tribune Publications Ltd as publisher of the Sunday Tribune. The Baggot Street newspaper subsequently published a gentle jibe and this newspaper properly printed a clarification, pointing out that the Sunday Tribune is in fact published by Tribune Newspapers Public Ltd Company.
It, of course, gave the Margin no pleasure this week to notice the latter company is included in the latest strike-off list published by the Companies Office.
