THE IRISH corporate reporting season kicks off this week, with listed heavyweights such as CRH, Kerry Group, Irish Life Permanent and Paddy Power all due to publish interim results in the days ahead.

This should provide some impetus to the Irish stock market, which has seen anaemic levels of trading lately. The key economic indicator due out this week will be the external trade figures for June.
