The first television advertisement to create awareness for the 2003 Special Olympics goes on air at the end of this month featuring Irish Special Olympians as well as Eamon Dunphy, Keith Wood, Sonia O'Sullivan and Roy Keane. The campaign will run until January on RTE, which has donated £1 million (€1.27 million) worth of air time.

The ad was made by DDFH&B and everyone involved, from the celebrities featured on screen to Screen Scene, the post production house, gave their services free. The Special Olympics is now halfway towards its sponsorship target, having raised £6 million.
