Smurfit Stone sells more assets

Smurfit Stone, the US packaging group 33 per cent owned by the Jefferson Smurfit Group, has brought its asset disposals since last year's merger to $1.8 billion (€1.73 billion) following the sale of a newsprint mill in Oregon to Southeast Paper Manufacturing for $200 million.
