Rye Valley opens plant

Rye Valley Foods yesterday opened a new £13

Rye Valley Foods yesterday opened a new £13.8 million processing factory in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, which will employ more than 130 people within the next two years. Rye Valley, a subsidiary of Golden Vale, will produce frozen snack foods for the European market at the IDA Ireland-backed site.

"Today's opening is a major boost for Fermanagh - an area of social need, following a series of employment setbacks in recent months," said Northern Ireland Deputy First Minister Mr Seamus Mallon at the event. "It is a strong vote of confidence in this attractive region."
