Mr Irial Finan (right) will take over as chief executive of Coca-Cola HBC following the decision of Mr Neville Isdell to step down in May.

Mr Finan (43), who was born in Roscommon and who now lives in Dublin, is one of three regional directors of the company, with responsibility for 16 of the company's 23 country business units including Ireland, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia and Nigeria.

He was responsible for handling last year's merger between the Hellenic Bottling Company and Coca-Cola Beverages to form Coca-Cola HBC. With the merger now complete, it is the second-largest bottling company in the world, employing more than 20,000 people and with a market capitalisation of more than $3 billion (€3.35 billion).
