Revenue makes euro appeal

The Office of the Revenue Commissioners has urged businesses to switch their tax affairs to euro in advance of automatic changeover dates to avoid potential information technology and accounting bottlenecks at the end of 2001. All businesses that do not elect to switch early will have their tax and customs affairs automatically switched to euro on a staggered basis.
