HUGH McLaughlin may have set something of a record back in the 1980s when he closed down the tabloid Daily News after just 18 issues, but one Clifford Hards looks like he has set an unbeatable publishing record after closing down the Planet on Sunday after just a single issue apparently because he did not like the content.
Mr Hards spent over £500,000 setting up the Planet, but walked into the newsroom this week and told his staff that he was ceasing publication forthwith.
