The Licensed Vintners' Association (LVA) has instructed its members to round up their prices to the nearest cent when converting from the pound to the euro on January 1st next. The move goes against traditional pub pricing which has in the past focused on rounding to the nearest 5p or 10p.
The LVA, representing 700 pubs in the greater Dublin area, reached its decision after taking advice from the Director of Consumer Affairs, Ms Carmel Foley.
