Pernod sings Jameson's praises

Pernod Ricard has been extolling the virtues of Jameson and Ireland

Pernod Ricard has been extolling the virtues of Jameson and Ireland. In its annual report Pernod, which owns Irish Distillers which makes Jameson, says that in blind tastings the whiskey is largely preferred to scotch and bourbon by consumers. "As a result, 38 per cent of English people, having tasted Jameson, became regular consumers," it says.

Pernod says Jameson has been benefiting from a growing interest in Ireland, "a country whose inhabitants offer the warmest welcome to their visitors, all in the most beautiful natural surroundings".
