Permo catches up on chargeless trend

A LOT of hype about not very much at all was The Margin's caustic comment about Irish Permanent's heavily trumpeted announcement that . . . wait for it . . . the Permo is no longer going to charge people for actually applying a mortgage. Such generosity. Is it not the case that most of the Permo's competitors have abandoned application charges for quite a while? A little bit of catching up on the others.
