The chief executive of Spirit (Interoute Ireland), Mr David Ryan, has been appointed managing director of the European Interoute Telecommunications Group. Mr Ryan will remain as chief executive of Spirit, but he will now be responsible for the management of Interoute operations in 12 European countries.

Mr Nick Koumarianos has been appointed chairman of Xnet Information. Mr Koumarianos has worked previously with Smurfit Group, Irish Times Systems Ltd and Cable and Wireless.

Goodbody Stockbrokers has appointed Mr Barry Condron as director of portfolio business. Mr Condron holds an MSc from Trinity College Dublin and worked with Bank of America and IDA Ireland before joining Goodbody Stockbrokers.

Pinnacle Computing has made three appointments. Ms Fiona McCann has been appointed senior business consultant, Mr Stephen Ryan has been appointed business development executive and Ms Anneliese Hynes has joined as telesales executive.

Mr Tom O'Brien has joined BCS Computers as territory manager for the Sun Business Unit in Cork.

The software company Qumas has made two new appointments. Ms Valarie King-Bailey has been appointed vice-president of marketing and Mr Brendan Walshe has been appointed European business development manager.

Tennants Ireland has made two new appointments. Ms Brigid Kiernan has joined the company as promotions manager and Mr Patrick Hogan has been appointed sales representative.

The Health and Safety Authority has appointed Ms Geraldine Nalty as communications manager. Ms Nalty joins the authority from Foroige, where she was information and publicity officer for the Tallaght Youth Service.

Wolfe Group, the technology management company, has made two appointments. Mr David Walsh has been appointed data centre manager and Mr Joe McGean has joined as security team leader.

Mr Martin Murphy has been appointed general manager at Hewlett-Packard Ireland (sales). He was formerly country sales director for Hewlett-Packard.

Monster.ie has made two new appointments. Mr Alan Townsend has joined the company as managing director and Ms Karen Kilroy has joined as marketing manager.

Mr Paul Hoiness has been appointed chief executive of Xelector, the Dublin-based company which is building a pan-European digital marketplace for financial services.
