Interactive Avenue, the Internet training specialist, has made two new appointments. Mr Austin Gavins has been appointed project manager - customer service and Ms Louise Brown has been appointed project manager.

Vision Consulting has appointed Mr Ronan Hughes as chief technology officer. Mr Hughes joined Vision as a senior technical architect in 1994.

Ms Deirdre McNamara has been appointed account director at Bill O'Herlihy Communications. Ms McNamara returns to Ireland from the US where she worked with MTV Networks.

Jinny Software has appointed Mr Tom McCarthy as user support manager.

Mr Aiden Pender has joined PA consulting, which advises on government and public service matters, as management consultant.

Cadcoevolution.com, the software service company, has made two appointments. Mr Allan Murphy has been appointed director of engineering and Mr Ned Denison has been appointed director of international services.

Mr Donnie McCormack has been appointed to the recruitment website Irishjobs.ie. Mr McCormack joins from Eircom where he was marketing manager of the Multimedia eCommerce Unit.

The Irish Internet Association has appointed Ms Sinead Murnane as events co-ordinator. Ms Murnane joins from Ireland.com where she held the position of marketing promotions director.

Mr Martin Farrelly has been appointed human resources manager at Accuris, a provider of telecoms software. Mr Farrelly is a graduate of ICD, the National College of Ireland and Trinity College/Irish Management Institute.

Hibernian Investment Managers has made three new appointments. Mr Tony Joyce has been appointed director of finance, Mr Martin Nolan has been appointed director of investment strategy and process and Mr Bernard Swords is the new head of equities.

Siebel Systems has appointed Mr Aaron O'Brien to the position of district manager with the company.

Mr Geoff Henderson has been appointed non-executive director and Mr John Randles has been appointed chief technical officer of Eontec, a provider of multichannel retail banking software.

A&L Goodbody has appointed five new partners; Ms Eileen East, Ms Eileen Roberts, Mr Eoin MacNeil, Ms Alison Fagan and Mr Kevin Allen. Mr Barry Condron has been appointed director of portfolio business.

Mr Richard MacMillan has been appointed general manager of Adecco Ireland.

Horizon Open Systems has appointed Mr Ciaran Doherty as iPlanet business manager for Ireland with responsibility for sales and marketing of the iPlanet Ecommerce Solutions Provider.

Choice Hotels Ireland has made three new appointments. Mr Brendan Curtis joins the Clarion Hotel, Dublin. Mr John Scanlon has been appointed group human resource manager and Mr Brian O'Sullivan has been appointed group purchasing manager.

Mr Charles Byrne has been appointed head of television facilities sales at RTE. Mr Byrne was educated in Oatlands Christian Brothers College and UCD.

Standard Life has appointed Ms Gillian Ryan as senior broker consultant. Ms Ryan is from Lucan in Dublin.

Mr Hugh St Leger has been appointed marketing manager at Statoil. Mr St Leger worked previously with Dunnes Stores, SuperValu/Centra and Nokia.

Bull Cara has appointed Mr Paul McCarthy as eSolutions manager. Mr McCarthy joined the company in 1998.

Ms Tara O'Sullivan has been appointed vice-president marketing with ebeon, the e-business architects. Ms O'Sullivan is a graduate of Trinity College and the Michael Smurfit School of Business UCD.

Kelloggs Ireland has appointed Ms Juliette O'Connor as assistant brand manager. Ms O'Connor joins Kelloggs from Sopexa, the French food and wine board.
