IBI Corporate Finance has appointed Mr John Tuite as manager

IBI Corporate Finance has appointed Mr John Tuite as manager. Mr Tuite joins IBI from Bank of Ireland Treasury, where he spent six years as a spot foreign exchange dealer in both its New York and Dublin offices. An honours commerce graduate from UCD, Mr Tuite recently graduated from the Michael Smurfit Business School with an honours MBA.

Two new appointments have been announced at Suzuki Cars (Ireland). Mr Wayne Doolan has joined as financial controller. A member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, Mr Doolan was most recently employed as financial controller of Hawaiian Tropic Europe.

Suzuki Cars has also appointed Mr Declan Maguire as marketing services manager. Mr Maguire, who holds a diploma in advanced marketing, has extensive marketing experience, having previously worked for ISPCC, Woodchester Investment Brokers and Roches Stores.

Epson has strengthened its Irish operations with the appointment of Ms Sinead Marshall as reseller account manager. Ms Marshall has 12 years' experience in channel sales and distribution working for US Robotics in the UK and, more recently, Sharptext and Data Solutions.

Mr Alf Smiddy has joined the board of Beamish & Crawford as finance director and company secretary. Mr Smiddy joined Beamish & Crawford in 1992 as management accountant and has worked in various finance positions in the company.

E-business solutions company Parallel Internet has hired Mr Brendan Foley as marketing manager. Mr Foley joins from the Irish International Group advertising agency.

Mr Mark Daly has been appointed general manager printer products with Brother (Ireland).

He will be responsible for delivering the business strategy and will specialise in printer product information and sales for the Irish market.

Kildare All-Star footballer Mr Anthony Rainbow has joined roofing products manufacturer Tegral as a technical sales representative. Mr Rainbow studied construction studies at Athlone RTC.

McNally Design Group has appointed Ms Una O'Dowd to food and beverage operations and development, where she will be responsible for creating food and beverage concepts for hotels and pubs in Ireland. Ms O'Dowd has more than 10 years' experience in the hotel and catering business, working in Switzerland, Germany, Australia, the UK and Ireland.

The Westin Dublin, the city's newest five-star hotel, which will open in late spring, has hired Mr Shane Hodges as director of sales and marketing. Mr Hodges joined the Sheraton Hotel group in 1993 and most recently worked as director of sales for the Sheraton Heathrow Hotel.
