Ms Susan Cooney has been appointed marketing manager Business Partners Ireland with Lucent Technologies. Ms Cooney joined Lucent in 1998 as marketing manager for fibre cable products for its public network business for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Executive Planning Systems has appointed Mr Paul Compton as services manager and Ms Elaine Sheehan as marketing executive. Mr Compton will be responsible for project management of all services projects. Ms Sheehan will be responsible for all marketing collateral, seminars and ongoing public relations.
Mr Bernie Dillon has been appointed chairman of Duolog Technologies, a new high-tech firm specialising in third-generation wireless communications. Mr Dillon is a former chief executive of Amdahl Ireland and is chairman of a number of IT companies, including Ashling Microsystems, Macalla Software and Wolfe Group.
Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts has announced the first management appointments to its Galway hotel, which will open in April 2001. Mr Juergen Wirtz has been appointed general manager and will be responsible for the pre-opening of the hotel. Ms Ulla Virkkula has been made project director of sales and Ms Gillian Chambers has been appointed as human resources manager.
Mr Philippe Savinel has been appointed chief executive of Irish Distillers Spirits and Wines, which includes Irish Distillers Ltd, The Old Bushmills Distillery Co Ltd and Waterhouse Distillery Ltd. Mr Savinal, a chartered accountant, has been with parent company Groupe Pernod Ricard since 1985 and is currently head of sales.
SHS Sales & Marketing has formed a new team to work on the Tropicana and Copella brands. Mr Aidan Stacey has been appointed marketing manager, Mr Joe Crabbe, national accounts manager and Ms Lynda Cody to marketing assistant.
