Why in the news?: Lite FM, an easy listening station targeted at the over 35 years of age market, will start broadcasting to the capital on 102.2FM at exactly 1.02 p.m. on May 25th. Mr White co-authored with Mr Ray MacSharry the book - The Making of the Celtic Tiger: The Inside Story of Ireland's Economic Boom.

Interests: Public service - he is chairman of the Northside Partnership Ltd since 1991, chairman of the National Crime Council and an adviser to the Garvaghy Road residents on how to promote investment in the area.
