Enterprise Ireland expects to see growing opportunities in Mexico across a wide spectrum of industry, Mr Peter Coyle, director of software and international services at the agency said yesterday at the opening of a seminar "Business Opportunities in Mexico".

The seminar was jointly organised by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Mexico Business Association and the Mexican embassy. Mr Daniel Dultzin Dubin, Mexican ambassador to Ireland, also addressed the seminar.

The event was organised to inform the business and education sectors of some of the opportunities now opening up in Mexico in their respective fields and to help explain the direction of the Mexican economy.

Mr Coyle said openings in Mexico are currently confined to certain sectors, such as software, processed foods and education.
