This week, the London Independent - kept afloat by the largess of Independent Newspapers and Mirror Group Newspapers - announced a £12 million relaunch complete with a very snazzy redesign.

Pity the relaunch wasn't accompanied by a bit more knowledge about Irish public companies. The Indie's story on Dalgety flogging off various assets accurately reported Kerry's interest in Dalgety's Lucas ingredients business. So far so good.

The Indie went on to tell us how a company called Green Core (sic) might be interested in Dalgety's flour business. This, the Indie tells us, is an American group which has been expanding in Britain. Does David Dilger know who his American owners are?
