THE Clondalkin group has increased the size of its board of directors by hall, with the appointment of four new directors - two executives and two non-executives including the former head of IBI Corporate Finance, Mr Richard Hooper.

In addition to Mr Hooper, the other new non-executive director is Mr Peter Roorda, a partner with the Amsterdam law firm of Stibbe Simont Monahan and Duhot. Since its £57 million acquisition of the Van der Windt group last year, a substantial portion of Clondalkin's is now centred in The Netherlands.

The new executive directors are Mr Jim Carmichael, chairman of Clondalkin's British subsidiary, and Mr Norbert McDermott, who is responsible for business developments.
