DUBLINER Pearse Lyons was this week toasting a deal that will take expand Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale in China.
Lyons is the president and founder of Alltech and its Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company has signed a distribution deal that will take it to taps and shelves in Shanghai and Beijing.
Earlier this year, the beer made its debut in the Chinese market in Qingdao.
The brewer also broke ground last week on a new $4.5 million distillery project in Kentucky in the US.

CEREAL GROUP Kellogg’s has made two senior appointments at its European head office in Swords.
Down native Ted Linehan has been recruited from drinks group PepsiCo in the US to take up the role of vice-president, European marketing and Innovation for Kellogg Europe.
He will be responsible for implementing its European marketing and innovation strategy.
