Down firm wins £19m contract to build terminal

Co Down construction firm Graham has won a £19 million contract to design and build a new port facility in England.

Co Down construction firm Graham has won a £19 million contract to design and build a new port facility in England.

The contract is for a roll-on/ roll-off terminal for the import and export of cars and will involve building two jetties, a floating pontoon and a bridge at Grimsby port. Work is due to start later this month.

The North’s Minister for Enterprise Arlene Foster said there were opportunities for local construction companies who were willing to look beyond Northern Ireland.
