ALL 1,600 current employees of Levi Strauss & Co in Ireland and Britain would benefit from its plan to make once off bonus payments of approximately a year's salary to each of 37,000 world wide employees. To receive the payments, the company must reach cash flow targets of7.6 billion (£4.8 billion) by the end of the 2001 financial year.
A condition of the plan is employees stay with the company for three years. The bonus is a way of thanking them for contributing to the company's success, Levi's said.
