The Irish Permanent has had its electronic client file management technology selected as the top IT application in European banking by Giga Information Group. Irish Permanent was the only European bank to receive a Merit Award at the recent Giga Excellence Awards. Giga specialises in business process and work management technologies.
The Irish Permanent product was designed, developed and deployed by Irish firm, Aspect Software. According to Mr Paul Marshal, business operations director at Irish Life & Permanent, Aspect's file management product resulted in a "drastic reduction" in costs and processing times. Aspect Software was established in 1996 to specialise in electronic client file management for the international banking and insurance industry. The company's flagship product, UniClient, was developed in Ireland.
