Integration pays at Kerry

Analysts are looking for pre-tax figures in the range of €115E 119 million (£90.5£93.7 million) - up 16 per cent - from Kerry as the burgeoning agri-business group reaps the benefits of the successful integration of Dalgety and its other acquisitions as well as strong trading results and widening margins. US and Europe are expected to account for the bulk of the growth.

Diageo: Drinks group Diageo reports interim figures on Thursday, with the City not expecting to see much sparkle after a year of adverse currency movements and several disposals.

An update on trading in January showed continuing problems in Asia and Latin America but the City will be hoping for a positive outlook, given a consensus view that the regions are stabilising.

Pre-tax profits of £1.05 billion sterling (€1.56 billion) are expected, compared with £1.2 billion the previous year.
