THE five directors of Waterford Wedgwood, who are to receive a £2.2 million long term incentive bonus in a combination of cash and shares, have received the equity portion of that bonus.
A total of 957,571 shares worth £857,025 was issued to the five directors.
Former chairman of Waterford Crystal Mr Paddy Galvin received 297,752 shares worth £266,667 at the 89 1/2p issue price Wedgwood chief executive Mr Brian Patterson received 216,015 shares worth £193,333; Waterford Crystal chief executive Mr Redmond O'Donoghue received 205,244 shares worth £183,693; the head of Waterford Wedgwood in the USA, Mr Chris McGillivary, received 148,975 shares worth £133,332 while finance director Mr Richard Barnes received 89,385 shares worth £80,000.
The additional shares will be held in trust for the five directors until April 2000.
