First giant Imax cinema screen opens at Sheridan Theatre

The first Imax screen will be raised at Dublin's Sheridan Theatre today. The giant screen measures 62ft by 82ft and is between eight and 10 times the size of a standard cinema screen. The screen auditorium will be opened to the public from June 6th and is promising the "most compelling film experience ever". It will show presentations on space, science, natural history and underwater adventures. See Survey of the Week, Business This Week 2, page 2
