An Enniskillen born entrepreneur is to establish a new contact centre in Fermanagh that will create 49 jobs.

Matthew Martin, who is originally from Fermanagh, saw a business opportunity with a colleague, Lee Hanford and considered a number of other locations across the UK before deciding to invest in Enniskillen.

Mr Martin and Mr Hanford’s new company, Lakeland Trading Solutions, will primarily sell home and contents insurance.

Mr Martin said he believes that in terms of cost effectiveness and quality and availability of talent Enniskillen offers the best business environment for the new venture.

“As an Enniskillen man myself, it is great to be able to give something back to the area by setting up the business here,” he added.

The North's Enterprise Minister, Arlene Foster, who is also from Fermanagh, said the new jobs are a boost to the region.

The Minister said: “It is anticipated that the majority of the jobs will be filled by local unemployed people giving them training, experience and valuable transferable skills.

“Invest NI is dedicated to supporting growth and economic development across all areas of Northern Ireland and has offered £343,000 of support to the company.”
