Economist Pat McArdle has been appointed as an alternate member of the European Banking Authority’s board of appeal.

Economist Pat McArdle has been appointed as an alternate member of the European Banking Authority’s board of appeal.

The board of appeal, along with similar boards at the European Securities and Markets Authority and European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, will form an overarching appeals body for three European supervisory authorities. Mr McArdle was formerly chief economist with Ulster Bank and is a contributor to The Irish Times
