Salaries have levelled off for finance professionals working in banking and financial services in Ireland, according to the bi-annual salary survey published by global recruitment consultancy Robert Walters.

However, the survey also found salaries were increasing for finance professionals working in commerce and industry. It also recorded growth in the IT contract market, with many companies turning to this method of employment as a result of skills shortages in the market. Salaries in the IT contract market had remained stable, the survey said.

The growth of economic activity in Ireland had also resulted in increased activity in both consultancies and blue chip companies with inhouse consultancy divisions, the survey said. But salaries were unchanged in this sector, the survey said.
