PROMOD, THE french women's fashion retailer, has opened its third Irish outlet at The Crescent shopping centre in Limerick.
The group is trading out of a unit of 200 sq m for which it is thought to be paying a base rent plus a percentage of the turnover, which is likely to work out at around €140,000 per annum. The letting deal is also likely to include the now standard 12-month rent-free period. Promod operates more than 900 stores worldwide. With a number of other multiple traders due to open in The Crescent shortly, Stephen Murray of letting agents Jones Lang LaSalle says that despite the tough trading environment, they were seeing a concentration of interest and activity in the larger regional-scale shopping centres which delivered strong footfall and the lowest risk-expansion opportunities.
