Career: She started working in public relations and in 1990 joined Drury Communications. She stayed there for 10 years. After a short break, she joined the ESB's power generation business working as a senior executive. In 2002, she joined GE Consumer Finance Europe, which is based in Dublin
Interests: She enjoys singing and has been a member of a number of choirs. Her other interests include walking and waterskiing
Why she is in the news: She is chief executive of GE's Irish consumer finance division, which is to be known as GE Money
