Crowley Carbon promises major savings on energy costs for business

Irish company launches innovative new boiler technology

Irish company Crowley Carbon is promising to deliver energy savings of up to 80 per cent for commercial operations using its new thermal server technology.

Manufactured in Ireland, the company says the Thermal Server boiler is a high- pressure heat-pump technology which can be driven by gas engine or electricity and uses waste heat from manufacturing or geothermal sources to deliver low-cost hot water to businesses.

It says this hot water can then be used in a wide range of installations, including breweries, dairies and other food processing plants.

The company has been running trials over the past two years, including one at Dawn Meats, which delivered savings of about 80 per cent. Chairman Norman Crowley says businesses in Ireland spend about €2.6 billion a year on heating oil and gas.
