FIRST Maryland Bank, the AIB's subsidiary in the US, has announced a provisional date for the completion of its takeover of Dauphin Deposit Corp of July 8th.

Dauphin announced last night that it had received approval from most of the relevant regulatory agencies as well as shareholders. It expected the receive approval from the Central Bank in Ireland by the July 8th deadline.
