Car thieves dumb down

The Margin was rather surprised to hear of an emerging trend in the US, where car thieves are apparently becoming more choosy about the vehicles they rob. Until recently, Jeeps and we mean big Jeeps were the favoured form of transport to take.

However, there has been a seachange. Have they switched to BMWs? Mercedes Benz perhaps? No. The thieves are now showing a predilection for - pick-up trucks.

Its a strange, strange, world.
