Caledonian Life, Standard Life and Eagle Star were the top performers in the pension funds market over the 20, 15 and 10 years respectively to January 2001, producing the highest maturity values for investors, according to the 10th annual Irish Times Personal Pension Survey. With-profit funds produced higher maturity values than unit-linked funds over the 15 and 20-year periods, while unit-linked funds fared better over 10 years.
