Boots the Chemist has appointed Ms Deirdre Burns and Mr Kevin Kavanagh as area managers for the Republic.
Ms Burns joined the firm in 1990 and since then has worked in various capacities including project manager. In her new role she will be responsible for the company's Dublin stores.
Mr Kavanagh has worked for the company for six years and has been involved in its expansion strategy in the Republic. He will be responsible for Boots' business outside Dublin.
DTA Marketing has appointed Ms Louise Lyons as marketing consultant. Ms Lyons was previously sales and marketing manager with Trident Holiday Homes. She will be assisting clients with marketing and sales strategies.
Ms Siobhan Duffy has been appointed Eurojus Consultant with the European Commission representation in the Republic. Ms Duffy will be handling queries from Irish citizens on their rights under European community law.
IBI Corporate Finance has established a new private company unit to cater for corporate finance services required by private companies.

Ms Mary Hearney is the new general manager at Galway Airport. She worked for six years as general sales manager for Ireland with Ryanair. Her most recent position was market development manager with An Post. She succeeds Mr Ed Moran who is leaving to pursue other interests.
The board of McKeown Software has appointed two new directors. Mr Eamonn Morris becomes software engineering director, while Mr Paul Roche becomes sales and marketing director. The company develops and markets packaged financial and procurement software.
Ballymore Properties has appointed Mr Brian Fagan as group financial director. He joins from DCC where he served in a similar capacity with DCC Healthcare Ltd. Previously Mr Fagan worked in senior management positions with EMO Oil Ltd and Flogas plc. He is a former director/manager (general practice) with KPMG.
Ms Pauline McAlester becomes an account director with public relations company, Murray Consultants. She joined the company in 1987 and was previously a senior consultant. Ms Blaithin Boylan also becomes an account director after spending several years as a senior consultant.
