Bank of Ireland governor Mr Howard Kilroy has spent more than £245,000 buying 17,400 shares in the bank.

Bank of Ireland governor Mr Howard Kilroy has spent more than £245,000 buying 17,400 shares in the bank.

Mr Kilroy acquired some 13,118 shares at a price of €17.90 (£14.10) while a further 4,282 were purchased at the higher price of €17.95 (£14.14).

The acquisition of the shares, representing some 0.003 per cent of the bank's issued share capital, on July 9th takes his total shareholding in the bank to 0.05 per cent.
