The Bank of Ireland is to drop standard current account fees and a range of charges to new businesses for the first two years of operation. It has also announced a new £20 million (€25 million) fund designed to finance growth in new and expanding small businesses. The fund is available at a discount rate of 6.65 per cent, which is 1 per cent lower than the standard business lending rate.
