THE Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) has presented its second annual awards at a dinner in Dublin.

THE Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) has presented its second annual awards at a dinner in Dublin.

Murray Consultants and the Murphy Brewery won the consumer award for placing a pint of Murphy's stout in President Bill Clinton's hand during his visit to Dublin last year. Murray also won the financial award for its handling of the Aran Energy takeover battle.

Bill O'Herlihy Communications and McDonald's picked up the corporate award for their response to the BSE crisis, while the sponsorship award was won by FCC and Nissan for the European Hockey Championship.

Gilmore Communications and the European Commission won the public information campaign award, while the Irish Banks Information Service picked up an award for its Money Go Round schools programme.
