The merger of the Avonmore and Waterford food companies has now cleared all regulatory hurdles and the name of Avonmore has been changed to Avonmore Waterford Group plc. The Registrar of Friendly Societies yesterday registered the resolutions passed by the Avonmore Creameries and the Waterford Co-op shareholders to give effect to the formation of Avonmore Waterford Co-operative.
Waterford shareholders, who have sent in valid acceptances of the Avonmore offers for their preference shares, ordinary shares and other cash entitlements, will receive payment cheques within 14 days. Up to 116,950,475 new Avonmore Waterford ordinary shares will be issued to Waterford shareholders. Trading in the new shares start today.
