Any stabilisation in Asia could reveal surprise bulls

Merrill Lynch notes that any significant signs of stabilisation or even recovery in the economic situation across the region over the next 12 months could make Asia the surprise story of the year. Given the extremely low valuations of the two British-quoted Asian banks, signs of stabilisation in Asia could make Standard Chartered and HSBC the surprise bull stocks of the year.
