MORE than 100 jobs are to be created over five years at Lough Mahon Technology Park in Cork in a major aerospace turbine components operation.
SIFCO Industries Inc, which already employs 289 people in its facilities in Carrigtohill and Mahon, has reached an agreement with IDA Ireland for the construction of the 26,000 sq ft facility. Around £4.7 million will be invested in the plant, which will "re-manufacture" turbine components for a range of engines. Re-manufacture means returning damaged components to good-as-new quality.
